Honda CL250 - an overlooked road/trail

EARLY 1960's

EARLY 1970's

EARLY 1980's

The CL250 was a popular alternative to the CB250 in the States, but had limited appeal elsewhere. As the model developed into the 80's it lost it's way as more specialized trail bikes hit the road in the form of early supermotards. I owned a little white one as above in 1988, and it was a joy to ride around town. Owned a more modern Honda SPADA as well, and preferred riding the CL despite it's humble power. Eventually traded them both for a TDM850.

  1. There's a CL175 sitting in our garage that's in pretty sad shape. We rescued it from a moto-graveyard, and can only dream of making it look like the blue and white 250 pictured above. But we'll try our best!

  2. Wow Stacy, they're a great little bike and getting very collectable as people like "Vicious Cycles" take them racing (check them out in my post of Jan 2009). A great little project.
